Services Offered

  • Distance Education
    • Offers an online Certification and/or Master's Degree Program in Low Vision/Blindness. This distance education program will prepare students to become a professional educator who can work with children and adults with low vision/blindness. This graduate level program prepares special education teachers to engage in current research-based practices and to provide high quality educational programs and services in elementary and/or secondary schools.

  • Personnel Preparation
    • Offers a Low Vision/Blindness Program with three options: Certification Only in Low Vision/Blindness Grades PreK-Adult (or equivalent in other states) for 39 credits; Master's Degree in Special Education plus Certification in Low Vision/Blindness Grades PreK-Adult (or equivalent in other states) for 39 credits; and Master's Degree Only in Special Education with area of concentration in Low Vision/Blindness for 36 credits. Offered entirely online only in West Virginia.
