Dr. Nora Griffin-Shirley is the Director of the Virginia Murray Sowell Center for Research and Education in Sensory Disabilities at Texas Tech University (TTU), the Coordinator for the Orientation and Mobility (O&M) program, and TTU’s Graduate School Certificate in Autism and Sensory Impairments. Currently she is a co-principal investigator of three personnel preparation grants which funds students in TTU’s four sensory disability programs. Certified as an O&M specialist with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Griffin-Shirley has published nationally and internationally on topics related to O&M, and has served as a leader in the field of O&M in professional organizations.
