Brief Description

BTBL is a branch of the California State Library which cooperates with the Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) as its Regional Library for northern California residents. Braille books and magazines, audio books and magazines, and audio book players are provided by the NLS. Materials are available in braille, digital cartridge and audiocassette and sent to readers via free mail service, as are the machines which play the audiobooks on cartridge and cassette. Increasing numbers of books are also available via download. We also have a small collection of described videos but do not offer equipment to play them.
