Brief Description
Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) is a not-for-profit multimedia organization operating two broadcast television services: AMI-audio and AMI-TV, and a website (AMI.ca). A third broadcast service, AMI-CA, will launch in December 2014. Serving more than five million Canadians who are blind, partially sighted, deaf, hard of hearing, mobility or print restricted, AMI's mission is to make accessible media for all Canadians.

- Reading Services
- AMI-audio is an accessible television channel and online service offering a variety of compelling stories and engaging original content to Canadians who are blind, partially sighted or otherwise print restricted. Daily, a team of professional narrators present feature articles from top Canadian and international magazines, hourly information updates and excerpts from popular audiobooks. AMI-audio also produces a variety of original programs covering historical and current events, technology, entertainment and more.
- Audiodescription
- Offers concise and unobtrusive description of the visual elements of a film or video product. Offers a large selection of described movies on video and audiocassette.
- Assistive Products
- AMI produces a Described Video (DV) Guide on a weekly basis. The DV Guide is a comprehensive list of most described television programming in Canada. - Recreation Services
- AMI-tv is the world's first network to broadcast all programs with described video and closed captioning. Hollywood movies, popular TV shows and original programs are broadcast into more than eight million Canadian homes. AMI-tv is included as part of the basic digital package from most television providers across Canada at no additional cost.
