Brief Description

The University of Nebraska--Lincoln has graduate level programs which prepares individuals to be outstanding teachers of students with visual impairments (TVIs). We are a hybrid program with courses offered online in the Fall and Spring. Students have to opportunity to engage face-to-face with colleagues and children for one to two weeks each summer. Students can attend the program part time while continuing to work full time, or there is an option for students to attend full time.

Services Offered

  • Personnel Preparation
    • Offers a graduate-level program leading to a teaching endorsement in visual impairments.

  • Distance Education
    • Offers visual impairment program online during the academic year with a few weeks of skill-based courses for two summers at the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired.
